My Children
As many of you know, today is American Thanksgiving.
It is a day of gratitude and good food.
It is also my first Thanksgiving since moving to Canada that I have had the day off to celebrate by preparing turkey dinner. Yeah!
As I was making the pies and rolls this morning, I started to count my blessings.
First and foremost are my children.
They are the best thing that has ever happened to me.
Next is I am grateful to be an artist and a teacher.
It has allowed me to work from home and be there for my children.
I am also grateful that I took the time to paint them in different stages of their lives.
Being an artist has helped me manage the bad times and celebrate the good.
Being a teacher has led me to so many other wonderful artists and pushes me to be a better artist and person.
Today I hope you can reflect on the blessings that art and painting has brought to your life.
There are also many other things to be grateful for.
Including turkey dinner, rolls, and pie.
