Plein Air is a French expression for “open air”.

It is used as a painting term for painting outdoors.

When plein air painting, take a look around and find something that interests you.
It is also good to get comfortable.

Find a shady spot to paint from. This reduces the glare from your paper.

Be sure to also dress for the weather and don’t forget the bug repellent.
