When I am painting, I wipe my brush often to help me control the moisture that goes into my paint and onto my paper.

I will keep a towel handy for this purpose.

It is usually an old hand towel or washcloth.

I do this instead of paper towels because I found that I could go through a whole roll in just one day!

Then I can hang it up to dry or toss it into the dryer before I use it again.
