The Old House, watercolor, 9×12″, $100
I did this painting as a demonstration for my class on moods. It was done wet-in-wet to create a soft romantic mood. I also used Daniel Smith’s fabulous colors of Quinacrodone Burnt Orange, Undersea Green, and Carbozle Violet.
The building is a restaurant in Courtenay, BC that is known as The Old House. It was designed as an old English Cottage. The restaurant has since been sold and is now known as Tomato Tomato.
