I once had a student say to me that when she realized that she was painting with water,
her paintings improved a great deal.
That is so true.
Watercolor is just that.
Painting with pigment and water.
Once you understand the properties of water, it is easier to let the water do most of the work.
You are there to guide the pigment along as it comes in contact with the water.
