Today is International Artist Day.
It is also Picasso’s birthday.

One of my favorite Picasso quotes is:
“God is really only another artist. He invented the giraffe, the elephant, and the cat.
He has no real style. He just goes on trying other things.”
I love this quote because we and the world think we need to have a style.
God didn’t and neither did Picasso.
Being an artist is about trying other things and figuring out how to best express ourselves and the world around us.
Celebrate this thought and the many, many wonderful artists that are out there, all trying other things.
Take a few minutes to discover and recognize an artist for what they have done.
Then recognize and congratulate yourself for what you have done and what you continue to do.
