Light tables are a great way to transfer images onto watercolor paper.

They can also be costly and take up a lot of room.

When I am in need of a light table for a large sheet of watercolor paper,

I just make my own.

This can be done easily if you have a kitchen/dining table that splits to accommodate a leaf.

I just split the table (leaving the leaf out) and lay a piece of Plexiglas that I got from a hardware store.

Then I grab a lamp and place it on the floor underneath the Plexiglas and turn the lights down low.

Now I have a light table that is easy to put together and even easier to store.
