Once you have figured out a color chord that you like, it is best to try to figure it out.

I like to use a scrap piece of watercolor paper to do this.

Then I mix up all different color concoctions to match the colors in my color chord.

When doing this, make sure you label how you get those colors though.

Because if you are like me, you will forget.

As you can see, I use different abbreviations for my color combinations.

CR is Cadmium Red; AC is Alizarin Crimson, and so on and so forth.

This is extremely helpful to have if you are working on more than one painting.
