Turn down the critic inside your head and turn up the inspirational thoughts.
I call it your own personal Inspiration Station.
Things always go better when you turn on the Inspiration Station.
To help find that station, look for an amazing part of your painting that you really like and congratulate yourself for doing it.
That was YOU that put down that gorgeous color, or was able to capture a mood, or shaded it just perfectly.
Once you realize that, the critic will have to quiet down and the rest of your painting will go much more smoothly.
