I completed the painting yesterday after I pulled up the mask. I fixed the tree in the center and  put another wash of Winsor Red on the center columns and the awning. A few other minor fixes were done. The final piece is 25x 35″. The gate is actually called The Gate of Harmonious Interest and is the entrance to Chinatown in Victoria.

  • Leslie,
These new washes are just beautiful! They really evoke emotion. Would you mind explaining to us non-artist types the process for these? What do you start with? Thanks. Enquiring minds want to know. :)
