Athena
Watercolor and graphite on paper
18×30″
It has been nearly a month since I have been able to blog. As much as I would like to say it is because I have been busy with work, that is not the full story. Unfortunately, it has been a month of illness for myself and my family. First colds, then the flu, and finally the beginnings of pneumonia. I think the pneumonia was caught in time though and hopefully the family will be all better soon and back to full speed.
The highlight of this past month was that I got to be the juror for the Federation of Canadian Artists Works On Paper show. I had planned on entering the above painting for the show but then they asked me to be on the jury. It was wonderful news and I still was able to exhibit Athena in the show as my juror piece.
The show only runs through Sunday. I would have told everyone sooner but I was busy getting healthy.
Love the picture, neat combination of mediums. Glad you guys are getting better, the flus and colds have been bad this winter.
Congratulations Leslie. Best wishes for returning health for all.
Thanks for jurying the show! It was a thrill to be chosen to be a part of it with my humble watercolour violets.
Hope you're all feeling back to normal soon!
Thanks Wendy! I feel much better and can't wait to get back to work but trying not to overdo it.
Thanks Carol:)
Angela, it is such a beautiful and delicate piece. Congratulations! Hope to see more of your work in there.
