Cherry Blossoms

This past Monday I taught a course on negative painting at the Federation Gallery. Since it is springtime and all the gorgeous cherry blossoms are out on the trees in Vancouver, I was inspired to paint them!
The class was a great group of artists. Most have done watercolor before and knew the challenge of the medium. But they also discovered more of the joy! I hope that all of them go home and paint! paint! paint!
